I am a surgeon who is still young in terms of our normal career path. I found myself unable to do any procedures or surgery despite being in a specialty that is by definition procedure-oriented. I did purchase private own-occupation long-term disability insurance when I was a resident, but I never thought I'd have to use it. When it became clear that I was not getting better at the rate I would like, I called up a few different firms to help me guide through the process. I found that Eddie was not only available but affable, and I could tell he is definitely able. His previous win for another surgeon who unfortunately had to go all the way to the court gave me a lot of confidence that he was going to be able to fight for me every step of the way. We had quite a bit of pushback from the very beginning, but he was able to guide me throughout the process and despite persistent pushbacks and demands from the insurance company, I was just told today that we finally got the approval! His assistant Sonya has also been excellent. Getting the approval is way more difficult than I first imagined. I am so glad that I had Eddie to help me. I'll recommend him and his team without hesitation.

Denial Reversed with Brilliant Letter Jan 25, 2024

I had a very unique case that required a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney to accept. The case was in regards to my critical care policy that I never thought I would need and purchased for in case of the ‘god forbid’ day. That day unfortunately came and I was denied, which was not right, and I tried to argue my point, but there was no way to call or email anyone. Everything had to be done via certified mail. I was recommended to this law firm by another attorney. I had a conversation with Edward and presented my case with all my notes and told him it’s a unique case, and he said he would take it on.
