Emily was born and raised in Miami, Florida and is a first-generation graduate. Growing up with immigrant parents, Emily’s goal has been to use the law to serve the community.
Emily’s Practice
Following her graduation from law school, Emily joined the team of attorneys at Dabdoub Law Firm. Her practice focuses solely on disability insurance and ERISA.
Emily is eager to put her hard-working attitude to work for clients in need. Emily’s practice focuses on disability insurance claims where the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) applies. In addition to ERISA claims, she also represents clients with individual disability insurance such as doctors, lawyers, and dentists.
As a disability insurance attorney at Dabdoub Law Firm, Emily represents clients across the nation against all major disability insurance companies, including Lincoln Financial, Hartford, Aetna, MetLife, Unum and more.
Emily handles cases at any stage of a claim, from initial claim filing to appeal and into litigation.
Education and Background
Emily graduated from the University of Miami, School of Law earning the honors of cum laude. While in law school, she served on the executive board of the Hispanic Law Students Association, where she moderated a panel called “Identidad: What it means to be Hispanic in the Legal Field.” Emily led the discussion covering identity, discrimination and the compromises often made by Hispanic attorneys in the field. She was also the staff editor for the Inter-American Law Review.
Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Florida International University. While at FIU, Emily balanced full-time school and full-time work as a legal assistant for a debt collections law firm where she gained invaluable experience in a law practice.
When not working in disability insurance at Dabdoub Law Firm, Emily enjoys staying fit with weight lifting and CrossFit, and enjoys experimenting with cooking.
